Welcome to my official website! I’m Sherree Patrice, and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by to see me! As a passionate, creative, innovative woman, wife, and mother of six adult children, my life has been a beautiful tapestry woven with faith, family, and music. Each of these elements has shaped who I am today, driving my purpose and inspiring me to explore new horizons beyond the familiar.
With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, I’ve had the honor of contributing to the iconic 90’s and Y2K music, becoming a major staple and signature sound of that unforgettable era. Over the years, I’ve worked on fourteen Grammy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated projects as a songwriter, supporting vocalist, and vocal arranger. My journey has been both challenging and rewarding, offering me the opportunity to lend my voice and creativity to some truly legendary recordings.
In addition to my Grammy contributions, I'm proud to be a recipient of a Dove Award for Best Urban Contemporary Song of the Year as a songwriter. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most influential artists and music producers across a variety of genres, accumulating accreditation on 55 RIAA Certified Platinum and Gold records. As a member of the Recording Academy and a SAG-AFTRA Union member, I continue to stand alongside fellow creatives who help shape and elevate the music and entertainment industries.
The music industry has changed drastically over the last 30 years. For many, it’s less lucrative than it once was, but technology has opened up new freedoms for independent artists. This shift has inspired me to share my experiences and resources to inspire and educate independent artists across generations. In a time when creatives are facing an alarming and disheartening transition. It’s crucial to expand beyond a single gift and tap into the many talents we each possess.
For most of my life, I believed my gift was my identity—something that kept me safe from confronting deeper, unresolved pain from spiritual, emotional, physical and sexual abuse. The music industry, as many know, can compound these struggles, and the repercussions of that world are all too familiar to those who’ve lived through it. While my story may not be unique, my healing journey is something entirely new to me. It’s been a transformative process that has given me a second wind to live with purpose and joy on the other side of a half-century of life.
For many artists navigating the challenges of ageism and the pressure of life beyond music can feel overwhelming. Whether you're just starting or have been in the game for years, it’s easy to feel like your gift is your entire identity, making the idea of stepping away seem impossible. Therefore I want to encourage you! No matter your age, there’s always hope and so much more to discover. According to the God I serve, the future He has for us surpasses any limitations placed by man or culture. Age doesn’t define your value or your potential. You are never too old and it’s never too late to step into your unique purpose on this earth. You are exactly where you are meant to be. Trust God’s timing and His purpose for your life! I promise you that it’s good for us both!
I am excited about this new chapter of my life, uncovering God’s deeper purpose for me beyond past accomplishments and accolades in the music world. As I dive into my passions for crafting, fashion, beauty, interior design, and creating content that educates and inspires others, I invite you to walk this path with me. As Sherree’s second indie release, *A Sherree Brown Christmas* was launched during a time when being an independent artist wasn’t yet widely celebrated. Despite this, the album showcased her vision and creativity, becoming a standout in its genre.
